What Is Uptimia?

Uptimia is a cloud website and server monitoring platform. It loads your pages from a global network of checkpoints, then alerts you when something breaks. Uptimia says it uses 171 checkpoints worldwide and monitors more than 100,000 websites. I can’t verify the second number independently, so treat it as marketing.

It covers more than simple up/down pings. You get speed monitoring, multi-step transaction checks, SSL and domain expiry tracking, virus scanning, DNS, heartbeat, server and API monitors, plus Real User Monitoring (RUM) and public status pages.

How I Tested Uptimia

I run websites2know.com as a reviewer, not a developer, so I judge monitoring tools the way a site owner would. Can I set it up in minutes? Do alerts reach me where I actually look? Does the dashboard make sense on a phone?

I set up monitors for a blog, an affiliate review site and a WooCommerce store. I connected email, SMS and chat alerts, walked through the billing screens, and read the plan-limit documentation line by line.

The WooCommerce store is why I care about this category at all. It once went down on a Friday evening, and I only found out the next morning when a customer messaged me. Nine hours of lost orders for the sake of a $9 tool.

Quirks and flaws I ran into

None of these are dealbreakers. All of them are worth knowing before you pay. I confirmed each against Uptimia’s own help center.

• Speed and Transaction monitors share one pool. The product calls it “Advanced checks.” Basic gives you 1 in total, so you get one speed monitor or one checkout test, not both.
• The 30-second Speed setting doesn’t stick. The editor offers it on Trial, Professional and Enterprise, but Uptimia resets Speed monitors set below 60 seconds back to 60 at renewal or plan change. In practice, speed checks are 1-minute checks.
• Transaction and SSL checks run every 10 minutes on every plan. A broken checkout can sit unnoticed for up to 10 minutes, even on Enterprise.
• SMS credits reset on the 1st of each calendar month and never roll over. Even the confirmation code for verifying a number costs a credit. WhatsApp alerts don’t use credits.
• Old Microsoft Teams webhooks go quiet. Microsoft retired the classic connector URLs in April 2026. Uptimia now uses the Workflows method, so a Teams alert you set up years ago may have stopped working without any error.
• Older accounts can have different limits. The Subscription page shows published numbers, so check the Plan Usage button in the top bar for the allowance actually enforced on your account.

Uptimia Pricing in 2027

The headline “$9/month” only applies if you pay yearly. Billed monthly, Basic is $10. Yearly billing saves about 10% on Basic and about 13% on Professional and Enterprise. Limits below come from Uptimia’s Plan Limits and Quotas page.

Which plan makes sense?

Basic covers a personal site or small business that needs 1-minute checks. It has one seat and one advanced check, which is the real limit.

Professional is the plan I’d pick for most serious site owners. You get 30-second uptime checks, 10 advanced checks, 10 seats and escalation policies. Uptimia gates escalation policies and white-label alert emails to Professional and above.

Enterprise only makes sense for agencies or teams running hundreds of monitors. Nonprofits and schools can ask support about discounts.

Uptimia Features That Matter

Uptime monitoring from many locations

Uptimia checks your URL from multiple probes and uses multi-probe consensus and backup checks before it declares an outage. That cuts false alarms caused by one flaky route. Checks run as often as every 30 seconds on Professional and Enterprise, and every minute on Basic.

Alerts where you actually look

Email and SMS are built in. Uptimia also supports Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Mattermost, Telegram, WhatsApp, Twilio, PagerDuty and Statuspage.io, plus custom webhooks. Each channel is added once as a contact, then attached to any monitor.

You can set alert delays, recovery messages and quiet hours. A short delay helps if your site restarts briefly during deployments.

Speed and transaction monitoring

Speed monitors track page load time over time. Transaction monitors replay a multi-step flow such as login or checkout and alert you when a step fails. For a store, that is the feature that catches a broken cart while the homepage still returns 200 OK.

SSL, domain, virus and DNS checks

An expired SSL certificate or lapsed domain can take a site down overnight, so these monitors are cheap insurance. SSL checks run every 10 minutes, domain checks run from once a day to once every 9 days, and virus scans run hourly to weekly depending on your setting.

Status pages

Every plan can use a custom domain and your own logo on a status page. Password protection is available on all paid plans. The Free and Basic plans include one page, Professional gives you 10, and Enterprise is unlimited.

Uptimia vs UptimeRobot vs Pingdom

Competitor pricing moves often, and some sources disagree, so I’ve used ranges where they do. Treat this as a map, then check each vendor’s pricing page.

My read: UptimeRobot is cheaper if you only need ping-style checks, and its free plan no longer covers commercial sites. Pingdom has the brand, but you pay a premium. Uptimia sits between them with more built-in monitor types than UptimeRobot at a lower entry price than Pingdom.

Does Uptimia Help With SEO?

Indirectly, yes. It won’t improve your content, but it protects the technical base your rankings sit on.

Google’s crawl documentation says repeated 5xx server errors make Googlebot slow down its crawling. If errors persist for days, URLs can drop out of the index. An uptime alert lets you fix an outage in minutes instead of discovering it in Search Console later.

One caution on speed. Uptimia’s speed monitors are synthetic tests. Core Web Vitals in Google’s ranking systems come from real Chrome users. Uptimia’s RUM gets closer to that, but Search Console remains the source of truth.

Who Should Use Uptimia (and Who Shouldn’t)

Skip Uptimia if you need deep application tracing, log search or infrastructure metrics. That is observability territory, and a monitoring tool at this price won’t cover it. Also skip it if one personal site on a free tier is all you need, because a free ping tool may be enough.
