OurDream AI Review (2027): Pricing, Dreamcoins and Whether It’s Worth It

What Is OurDream AI?

OurDream AI is a web-based AI companion and roleplay platform. You build a character, pick its personality and look, then chat with it, generate images of it, call it, or turn it into short video clips.

Your agreement is with Dream Studio USA, Inc., a Delaware company named in the terms of service. It runs in the browser only. There is no native mobile app yet, and PayPal is not accepted.

How I Test AI Companion Tools

I don’t trust a pricing page on its own. For this review I did four things:

• Signed up and timed the onboarding.
• Ran chat, image, voice and video features one at a time.
• Converted every price into what a month’s coins actually buy.
• Cross-checked the numbers against OurDream’s help-centre rate card, refund policy and privacy policy.

That last step caught the biggest problem in this category, which I cover in the Dreamcoins section below.

OurDream AI Pricing in 2026–2027

You can buy extra Dreamcoins, but only with an active subscription. The add-on slider reportedly runs from 1,000 to 20,000 coins, and I couldn’t find public pack prices. If you plan to make video or take lots of calls, expect to spend more than the sticker price.

What Do Dreamcoins Actually Buy?

Every row in this table is an alternative. Each one spends the whole 1,000-coin allowance, so you can’t stack them.

Standard video tops out at 60 seconds, and a full-length clip costs 1,200 coins. That is more than a whole Premium month. Yet the homepage FAQ says the 1,000 coins cover all your needs, videos included. On OurDream’s own rate card, that claim only holds for very short clips.

There’s a second quirk. OurDream’s help pages contradict each other on unused coins. One says coins carry over, another says they aren’t restored if you cancel and come back. Spend your coins before you cancel, and you won’t have to find out which page is right.

OurDream AI Features, Tested One by One

My Experience Using OurDream AI

Setup took under two minutes. There’s no long onboarding quiz, and the dashboard puts characters front and centre.

Chat is where OurDream earns its price. Replies felt contextual rather than templated, and on a subscriber plan they cost nothing. If text roleplay is your main use, the yearly plan is hard to beat.

Images came next. I described a scene and had a result in roughly 10 to 15 seconds. Not every render landed on the first try, so allow a few retries. At 5 coins per in-chat image, retries are cheap.

Voice is the feature I’d use sparingly. It sounded natural enough for a proper back-and-forth, but 20 minutes a month disappears fast.

The flaws I’d flag

• The homepage and the rate card disagree. The FAQ implies 1,000 coins cover everything, but one full-length video costs 1,200.
• Conflicting help pages. The coin-expiry rules differ between articles, so you can’t rely on a single answer.
• Blurred media after you leave. Cancel or get a refund and your saved images and videos are blurred until you subscribe again.
• No native app. You use the website, with a home-screen shortcut as the workaround.
• A shifting free tier. The free plan has been tightened over 2026, so what you read in older reviews may be out of date.

Prices below are the headline figures from each company’s 2026 pricing. Promotions change often, so confirm before you buy.

OurDream wins on breadth and on pricing clarity, since it publishes what each action costs. Candy AI is cheaper per month, but its token packs are where the real bill grows. Character.AI is the best free option for plain text roleplay. Replika leans toward emotional companionship rather than media generation.

Who Should Pay for OurDream AI (and Who Shouldn’t)

Pay for it if you want long text roleplay with a big character library, a few images a week, and a little voice. The yearly plan is the cheapest route in.

Skip it if you want regular video, daily voice calls, a native phone app, or a guarantee that your chats stay out of model training. Heavy media users should also price in extra coin packs before committing.

Privacy, Refunds and Safety

This is where I read the fine print so you don’t have to. I’m not a lawyer, so treat this as a summary and read the current terms yourself.

• Chats and training. OurDream says it doesn’t sell your chats, but its privacy policy allows using data to train its models. I found no opt-out in the text. Messages are also processed by outside model providers.
• Refunds. No refund once more than 25% of a purchase is used. Monthly plans can’t be refunded once the coins are gone, and annual plans “may be eligible” for a full or partial refund.
• Payments. Card refunds take 5 to 10 business days. Crypto payments are final, so pay by card if you want the refund route open.
• Arbitration. The terms include an arbitration clause and class-action waiver. You can opt out by written notice within 30 days of accepting them.
• Cancelling. Use the profile page to cancel. Access lasts to the end of the billing period, and your saved media then blurs, so download what you want first.
