What Geonode Actually Sells in 2026

Geonode now pitches itself as a web-data company that runs its own proxy network and sells everything on top of it. That matters for price, because there is no reseller margin in the middle.

The residential supply comes from two opt-in apps Geonode owns. Repocket pays users for spare bandwidth, and Zenshield is a free VPN that discloses bandwidth sharing. Geonode says it has also folded in four acquired networks.

Here is the full lineup:

• Residential proxies: rotating pool billed per GB.
• Unlimited residential: flat monthly price, capped by speed rather than data.
• ISP proxies: static IPs billed per IP per month, shared or dedicated.
• Rotating datacenter proxies: the cheapest per GB.
• Scraper API: managed scraping with JavaScript rendering, plus Map, Crawl and Search endpoints and an MCP server for AI agents.

One gap to know about: Geonode doesn’t currently list mobile (4G/5G) proxies. If your workflow needs carrier IPs, you’ll need another provider.

Geonode Pricing: Every Plan in One Place

Geonode publishes two price lists for proxies. The monthly subscription is the default. Pay-as-you-go costs roughly 10% more. I checked every figure below against Geonode’s pricing page on 27 October 2026.

Notice the headline. “From $0.27/GB” only applies at 100 TB a month. A small buyer starts at $0.792/GB, which is still low for residential traffic.

Geonode publishes traffic examples on its residential page. At the 100 GB plan ($0.648/GB), they work out like this:

Redirects and retries count as traffic too. Run a small sample first and read the real number off the dashboard.

Billing quirks worth knowing

• Subscription bandwidth rolls over until you cancel, and Geonode says purchased GB does not expire.
• Unlimited residential is unlimited data, not unlimited speed. Throughput is capped at your Mbps tier.
• On the Scraper API, downgrading a plan forfeits any unused requests. Failed requests are never charged.
• ISP proxies have no trial, and PayPal isn’t accepted.
• Businesses expecting 500+ GB a month can apply for the 1TB Program: 1 TB free for 7 days, by application, with approval promised in under 24 hours.

How Geonode Performs: What Independent Data Shows

The best independent data I found is a 12-provider residential benchmark from Floppydata. It ran 302,400 requests on 5–8 October 2026 from servers in Germany, the US and Singapore, across 12 exit countries.

One caveat. Floppydata sells proxies and is one of the 12 providers tested. It disclosed that, and it published the raw data and scripts on GitHub. Treat the results as useful, not neutral.

Where Geonode won

Cost. At $0.015 per 1,000 successful requests, Geonode was the cheapest of all 12. Oxylabs cost more than eight times as much.

IP quality looked fine on the basics. Every sampled IP classified as residential or ISP, 99.3% landed in the requested country, and the average fraud score was 3.7 with 0.3% rated high-risk. Sticky sessions held 80.4% of the time, in line with Oxylabs.

Where Geonode lost

Success rate was 97.1%, the lowest in the test, with a 2.9% error rate. India was the weakest exit country at 94.6%. P90 latency hit 3.67 seconds, the highest of the group.

The biggest flag is detection. Scamalytics tagged 99.3% of sampled Geonode IPs as proxies, against roughly 60% for the best performers. That matters on sites that check IP-reputation databases before they even look at your request.

Limits of the test: four days, three server locations, one IP-quality source, and a plain HTTP client with no JavaScript for the Amazon check. Every provider landed between about 48% and 55% on Amazon (Geonode 49.3%), so use that number for comparison only.

Geonode also publishes its own figures for the Scraper API: 96% success on a 1,000-request stealth workload and 1.2 s median latency. Those are vendor-reported. I also couldn’t find a published uptime SLA on the pricing or residential product pages, so ask sales if you need one in writing.

How I Evaluated Geonode

I don’t take headline numbers at face value. I read Geonode’s machine-readable pricing file, the residential and Scraper API product pages, its docs and its Trustpilot profile. Then I compared them with the October benchmark and priced real tasks, as in the table above.

I didn’t add my own scrape-by-scrape numbers, because an independent 300,000-request test is a cleaner comparison than a one-person run. The checklist near the end shows how to run your own.

Here is the friction I found:

• Geonode’s own pages disagree on scale. The pricing and product pages say 7.5M+ IPs active monthly across 150+ countries. Its comparison pages cite 2.5M active IPs and 195+ countries. I use the product-page figures and treat both as vendor-reported.
• Two price lists. Subscription and pay-as-you-go differ by about 10%, so check which one a quote refers to.
• Trials are narrow. There is no ISP trial, and the free 1 TB offer needs an application and 500+ GB of expected monthly use.
• No PayPal. Cards, crypto, Alipay and wire transfer only.

Which Geonode Product Should You Pick?

Unlimited residential pays off at volume. At the 1 TB tier ($0.50/GB), $1,800 buys about 3.6 TB, so the flat plan wins once you pass roughly that much traffic a month.

Is Geonode Safe and Legit?

From what’s publicly checkable, yes. Geonode lists a Singapore address, publishes a Trust Center, a Security page and an Acceptable Use Policy, and holds about 4.8–4.9 stars on Trustpilot. The review base is small, so weigh it lightly.

Geonode vs Other Residential Proxy Providers

Geonode vs Evomi and DataImpulse. At about $1/GB, both beat Geonode on success rate in the October test (99.9% and 99.7%). Geonode is cheaper per GB ($0.79 against $1.00–$1.04), but the saving is small. If success rate matters more than the last twenty cents, test those two first.

Geonode vs Decodo and Oxylabs. Both delivered 99.9% success with tighter latency, at $3.75/GB and $6.00/GB. Geonode costs a fraction of that, and the trade is reliability on harder targets.

Bright Data. It wasn’t in the benchmark because it requires identity verification, so I have no comparable numbers.

Pool size. Geonode is open about it. Its own page says the pool isn’t as big as the 100M+ some rivals advertise and tells buyers to test niche geographies first.

Who Should Use Geonode (and Who Shouldn’t)

Use it if you scrape public pages, monitor prices, check search results by city, or run an AI pipeline that needs cheap web access. Budget-driven teams get the most from it.

Skip it if your targets use aggressive anti-bot systems, you need mobile IPs, or you need coverage in a niche country that you can’t test first.

How to Test Geonode Before You Commit

1. Buy the $5 trial (10 GB, 3 days). Read the checkout screen for renewal terms and set a reminder.
2. Send 500 requests to your real target at the concurrency you’d use in production.
3. Read the GB used from the dashboard. Cost per successful page = (GB used × price per GB) ÷ successful responses.
4. Check city or ASN targeting with an IP lookup on a handful of exits.
5. Repeat the same 500 requests on a $1/GB rival and choose on cost per successful page, not price per GB.

Conclusion

Geonode is the one I’d start with when budget decides. The pricing is clear, the targeting is deep for the money, and the cost per successful request was the lowest in an independent test.

The catch is reliability. A 97.1% success rate and a high proxy-detection rate mean it’s a weaker pick for hard targets, and the pool is much smaller than the giants’.

Run the $5 trial, test your own target with the checklist above, and compare it with a $1/GB rival. That takes an afternoon and costs less than lunch.
